• Plan it ahead: Don't forget that failing to plan is planning to fail. If you have enough time (1 year ahead), sign up for group dance lessons. The more time you have been dancing the more comfortable you will look. Yes, learning to dance will add elegance to your special day. Ballroom dancing has gained popularity over the years, so finding a dance class shouldn't be difficult. Starting early will allow plenty of time to gain dance skills as well as confidence. Private Lesson should start with at least 4 months in advance. A lot of people wait until the very last month even week to take dance lessons. Which is the most stressful time. Making it difficult for them and their instructor. Do not leave your dance until the very end.
• Choosing your wedding dance song: Many couples have a special song. If you don't already have a song in mind, ask your dance instructor or reception DJ for suggestions. Try to limit the dance to about 2 minutes, as any longer will seem like an eternity. The song you choose will help determine the choreography and or the style of your dance. If you want to dance a Waltz but your favorite song is slow rock it might not match that dance style. The song determines the style.
• Learning a simple choreography vs. a fully choreographed dance: This all depends on important is for your that part of your reception. If you want to have a WOW wedding dance a fully choreographed song with at least 6 months to prepare is the best. If you just want to be able to get by during your dance a couple of sessions will do. However if you learn the essence of the dance you will turn an expense into an investment because you will use those skills again. A choreography you must likely wont use it again.
• Choosing the right dance instructor: To us obviously this is a very important topic. Regardless of your goals ensure that the teacher "can instruct" not just "show you" how to do it. They must patient so they can go to your speed not theirs. If they get mad at you DO NOT hesitate to immediately switch them this dance is about you not them. The more creative they are the more beautiful pieces they will create for you. look at other pieces they have choreographed and judge by yourselves. We get many couples that have drop their teachers because they weren't getting what they were looking for
• Make your wedding dance sparkle: Put forth an effort to practice and perfect your dance and you will dazzle your friends and family. The more you practice, the more at ease you will feel and appear on the dance floor. But practice the right thing. Practice doesn't make perfect. Practicing the right thing does. Try to sign up for dance lessons at least six months in advance of your wedding day. This will allow plenty of time to learn how to dance, perfect the choreography and gain confidence to perform before a crowd.

YOU WILL LOOK GOOD

On the wedding day both bride and groom usually look at their best. They have thought all many details from the color of the invitations to the flavor of the cake. The bride looks gorgeous and the groom looks charming. They mingle with the guests and then the moment everybody is waiting for comes, their first dance as Husband and Wife.

Now the circumstances change. He now looks lost perhaps because he has never danced before, let alone dance in front of a crowd, even though he might have taken some dance lessons he might look as if he is taking a math test. His mind is trying to memorize the left-right-left-turn sequence taught. Or even if has it memorized when he is performing it he might resemble more "Robocop" trying to waltz.

Many instructors contribute to this effect since they treat the bride and groom as if they were pros doing a show. Failing to teach most importantly that to look good you must feel good. But you can't feel good not knowing what to do. Knowing what to do that boost your confidence and that confidence and security is always attractive specially in regards to dancing.

In Wedding dance pro we want the groom to look at his best during the dance, to feel confident and secure from the moment he steps on the dance floor to be in absolute control of the room, the dance floor and the dance. To listen to the music leading his now wife into a dance she will never forget. We want the bride to shine and glide on the dance floor with grace and beauty to skilfully follow  the movements of her husband's body that in essence is hers. That is the essence of not looking just average but amazing while you are dancing on your first dance.

With that in mind we have created a program where the groom will learn the basic elements of leading for the groom, listening to the music and interpreting it, of being able to lead his bride around the dance floor firmly but gently and the bride to promptly react to her husbands lead and shine as the attention is focused on her. We focus in helping the groom to really understand how to lead and the bride how to follow. You might have come only for a dance lesson but you might leave with more skills than that.

Hiring a  dance instructor just to learn dance moves doesn't guarantee that you will look good. It might guarantee that you will learn some dance patterns. But looking good on the dance floor involves much more than that, it involves being able to let the music tell you what to do and when to do it. Then and then only you will look good. Even without moving much.

Add all the session that you want and multiply by $75 and that is your cost, there are no minimums we can book as little as 1 session and as many as you want.
